SAIL
Port Douglas is the favoured last port of the annual winter migration of cruising yachts up Australia's east coast. It is also the way my family and I arrived here in 1985 and became a yacht broker. It is the south-east trade winds that brings the cruising yachts here. Leisure sailing.
Those 200 days per year south-easters provide a comfortable beam reach to and from our closest island group - Low Isles. The other 165 days offer great conditions for sailing in Trinity Bay and beyond.
